This is a great cooling juice for a hot summer day.

What I'll Do For You:

This cooling juice helps stimulates circulation and with onions in it, it'll help relaxes your muscles.

Sweating in hot climate will cause a loss of potassium in your body  (leading to low blood pressure, extreme thirst and vomiting). This juice will cover the potassium lost during those hot sunny days.

Because the melon contain plenty of water, it'll help keep you hydrated.

What's Needed:

  • Half Cucumber
  • Half Honeydew Melon
  • 2 Spring Onions
  • A Handful Parsley
  • (optional)
  • Chilled or Sparkling Water
  • Crushed Ice or Ice Cubes

How To Mix:

  1. Cut melon into wedges and discard seeds. Cut the flesh and chop it roughly.
  2. Trim the ends of cucumber. Cut it into chunks.
  3. Trim the ends of onions.
  4. Juice the melon, cucumber, onions, parsley.
  5. It's ready! If it's too concentrated dilute it with water or those ice cubes.

If you love tomatoes and would love to experiment with something spicy , try this one.

Some work are needed since there's pineapple in the recipe. So it's not something you'd want to try in the morning (unless you have a pineapple peeler).

What I'll Do For You:

Pineapples are rich in fiber and help aid digestion. So this juice is also great after a rich meal.

This juice is also rich in vitamin C - great at boosting your immune system and the large amount of tomatoes will help prevent cancer and heart diseases.

What's Needed:

  • 6 Tomatoes
  • 1 Grapefruit
  • Half Pineaple
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • ( and optional)
  • Chilled Ice or Ice Cubes
  • Sparkling or Chilled Water

How To Mix:

  1. Remove stalk from the tomatoes. If it's big, cut it into halves.
  2. Cut the leaves and base off the pineapple and remove it's skin. Chop the flesh roughly.
  3. Remove the skin of the grapefruit and cut it into wedges.
  4. Juice the tomatoes, grapefruit, pineapple and add a little Worcestershire sauce ( can be added more later).
  5. It's ready! If it's too concentrated dilute it with water or those ice cubes.

Note: Those in early pregnancy may want to avoid this recipe since it involves pineapple.  Although there's lack of scientific evidence for this, it is believed that in large doses, pineapples can cause uterine contractions and could cause miscarriage.

Hence, in some parts of the world (like Ghana) this fruit is one of the ingredients to induce abortion.

champion-juicer-2000plus.jpgDo you need a good juicer than is built to lasts? Do you want something backed by a family owned enterprise than specialize in making juicers for over 50 years? And lastly, how about using your juicer as a coffee grinder?

If those sounds tempting, read on.

IT’S BUILT:

Champion Juicer 2000+ is a solid piece of machinery and is very very heavy. In fact, it’s so heavy we believe you could use it as your dumbbell. It’s built like it’s for military use. So there’s nothing sissy about this machine.

We like the fact that it comes in 4 colors. As a suggestion, avoid the white color because strong colored fruits or vege could taint it easily.

The Champion 2000+ comes with blades made of tempered stainless steel that are cast into the cutter for strength and years of use. In fact, the company guaranteed that they never separate or rust.

Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Review

Thursday

jack-lalanne-power-juicer2.jpgAre you curious at how Jack LaLanne Power Juicer performs ? Can an infomercial juicer beat similarly priced juicers in the market with it’s seemingly dry pulp, silent motors and tasty juices?

Let’s check this machine out.

IT’S BUILT:

Okay, so it’s made of plastic like most juicers you’ll see in Kmart. The bad thing is the color is white, meaning that you’ll have to live with fruit stains on it’s surface (read: beware of carrots).

When you open your box, if you’re lucky you’ll get it pre-assembled. If not, you’ll get around around 9 different parts that you had to put together. Fortunately, you’ll get a printed guide to help you.

The feeder is quite big and it seems like you can put some fruits and vegetables right in the juicer without chopping (as shown on tv). Just note that whole apples don’t fit through the feed tube unless the apples are real small.
