dont-take-pills-with-juice.jpgSome people may be tempted to use juices instead of plain water while taking their pills. Okay, that sounds like a great idea. The problem is that is no so smart. Why?

Let's take a look at the effect of fruit juices taken with pills.

Grapefruit Juice:

This juice may block the action of certain pills, like your antidepressants and some heart drugs.

Cranberry Juice:

If you take it with warfarin ( medicine that prevents blood from clotting) you could actually induce bleeding.

Other Fibre Drinks:

Drinks that are rich in fibre, unfortunately are believed to bind with your drugs, making it less effective.

So, remember, take your pills with plain water.
